The SPCA is an adoption, clinic, and animal rescue center that is the temporary home to cats, dogs, hamsters, rabbits, and sometimes even turtles. They have a wonderful record of adoptions, and they hope to surpass last year’s number, so if you or anyone you know is interested in adopting a pet for any reason please call 570-322-4646 to make an appointment. You can also look at their website: Adoption | Lycoming County SPCA (lycomingspca.org) to look at the available pets for adoption.

Here people can volunteer to help the shelter every day. Currently, they are looking for more volunteers, and with proper training, you can become one right away. You can help take care of the animals, such as walking the dogs or changing the cat’s food and water, and even help with events; such as Instagram: lycospca, adoption days, and events running the pet store. There is no limit to how long you can volunteer daily.

If you have any questions, you can contact them through Instagram to find out more!
