Band and Orchestra Concert

The Lycoming College Band performed at the Community Arts Center on November 3rd, 2021. A good amount of people attended of all ages and all seemed mesmerized by the music. The band played a piece (“Keeping Step With the Union) that was nearly a 100 years old. They also played Albanian Dance, which provided a more vibrant melody that was very fun to hear. The band gave off a marching vibe while the orchestra was softer. The orchestra played pieces from Symphony No. 8 in G Major. The orchestra was composed of 56 members. The orchestra was very soothing and even got a standing ovation for their performance. The last piece seemed like a compilation of cinemas well known music, such as Star Wars and Jaws.
