Choir Concert

Lycoming College Fall Choral Concert took place on Thursday November 4, 2021 at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport, PA. The event was conducted by Daniel J. Hall and accompanied by Jeff Johnson. There were over 60 students from both Chamber and Choir. The concert was divided into two sections. First, performance was only the Chamber students who sang: Sting Aloud to God Our Strength by Alessandro Antonio Scarlatti, Serenade by Franz Schubert and Joy of Living by Franz Schubert. The second section was a combination of both Chamber and Choir students who sang: We are pilgrims on this earth South African folk song arr. Victor C. Johnson, Return to us by Israeli folk song arr. Michael Ryan, Come my love by Celtic folk song arr. Ruth Elaine Schram, A Lullaby by Ryan Murphy, the Journey with Simple Gifts and Going Home by arr. Joseph M. Martin, Requiem by arr. Craig Hella Johnson and Malakatumba by Josu Elberdin. Both the faculty and students put an immense amount of effort into each performance.
“I enjoyed the choir concert. I participated in both Chamber Choir and Big Choir as a Tenor. I feel like we as a group executed our songs to perfection and hopefully helped to bring back some normalcy to campus after almost 2 years of COVID effecting when we perform and where. I look forward to our Christmas Performance and hope people will come out to watch us again.” – Brendan Dillon
