Needed a cuddly friend to keep you company when you are alone? Look no further! Stuff-A-Plush was an event held on October 9th. I had been warned by upper classmen that this event was very popular. They suggested to get there early and they were not wrong! The line was long, but not terrible. Stuff-A-Plush had about 10 different animals available, though when I got there only ten minutes after it started three of the animals were already out! Which animals were there? Well the most popular was the Kangaroo, with its little baby it caught the hearts of students! Then the next popular were the sloths and foxes. Both went quickly, so they had to bring out the badger bear. Others went quickly, but the cats seemed to be the least popular this year. This left the coordinators with an estimated 25 unstuffed cats.

When I first entered the tent, I was told to go to the designated table with the plush I wanted. The helpers were very nice as they told us to take a plush and start stuffing. Next came the most difficult part, finding a table. It was so crowded they suggested that people stuff them outside or back at their dorms. Luckily though myself and our photographer, Armando Merino, we happened to find a table. The tent was starting to become hot and stuffy with the amount of people, but that did not deter many people. In fact, this probably was the loudest event I have been to. Everywhere people were talking in cheery tones to their friends as they stuffed the plush.

Stuffing the plush was a bit of a challenge. Luckily, you could choose how soft or hard you wanted your plush to be and could keep any left-over stuffing that you wanted. Unfortunately, some animals had areas that felt impossible to stuff. From experience it was quite a challenge to stuff the cat’s legs and arms, but nonetheless it was done. Once you finished stuffing the plush you were able to leave. As some people left, they got mini elephants’ stuffs or stickers depending on the time. Though the overall evaluation is fantastic. The atmosphere was so cheery, and everyone seemed so happy, it was almost contagious. I recommend going to the next Stuff-A-Plush event and be sure to get there early!
