Poetry Reading

Poetry Reading

Staff Writer: Claudia Rispoli

At the Lycoming Art Gallery in downtown Williamsport three students from Lycoming read some pieces of poetry and fiction that they were working on all year. Each were introduced by Mrs. Phoebe Wagner, the organizer of the event, before they started. First up was Caleb Hipple, his works we able to touch the audience and lead them through his feelings with his poetic stories. Next was our own Lauren Canfield, her poetry was able to calm all trouble hearts and minds by transporting us to magical places. Finally, a fiction writer named Samuel Rutan read an excerpt from his horror book which scared and gave a vivid image of the poor protagonist’s adventure. Within the half hour of reading the atmosphere changed so many times, showing how good these writers really are. We give a round of applause to them and wish them all the best of luck in their future.
