This year, the theme for Homecoming was Wizard of Oz, so on Friday, September 30th, from 5-9 pm, there was the Emerald City Block Party in the Upper Quad and the AC parking lot. You got to live out many people’s childhood fantasies of following the yellow brick road as you went from one area to another. There were yard games, painting, a photo booth, and food trucks. The most popular station, it seemed, though, was for making your street sign. At this, you could write down whatever you wanted in a 21-character limit, and then it would be printed out and stuck on a plastic border that would make it look like a street sign. It was lively during the party, and it was nice to see people mingling with each other since parents, alumni, and students were all there simultaneously.
